| Experience: | I have tutored two high school students in the past, in the areas of science (Biology and Chemistry), English (essay-writing and vocabulary), history and mathematics (I am comfortable teaching through Statistics). I am now a private tutor for a 13-year-old girl. I work with her in most subject areas, as well as with her study and organizational habits.
I make sure to identify the student's learning style and weaknesses, and cater to them in a way that is conducive to their improving.
I also have a diverse academic and professional background, with a major in International Studies at UC San Diego, and minors in Biology and Writing. I've received a nomination for a writer's showcase award at my college, and wrote professionally for a little over a year for a small publication in Orange County.
